A special club night featuring an all-female DJ line-up is to raise funds for Agenda, the alliance for women and girls at risk.
The event will take place on 10th August in Dalston.
This is the second event organised by the music collective New Scenery, which aims to address the lack of female representation in the music industry, creating a platform for female DJs and producers from the experimental club scene.
Katharine Sacks-Jones, Director of Agenda, says: “We are delighted that New Scenery have chosen us as their charity partner for this event.
“We want to see a society where women and girls can fulfil their potential and live their lives free from inequality, poverty and violence.
“Like New Scenery, we believe women need to be better represented and their voices heard – and we think this is a great way to raise awareness of these issues. We hope the event is a great success.”
The event will feature sets from Lockhart, Covco, Gribs Coucou Chloe, Babyflame and Sleepier, with visuals from Coax.
It will take place at the The Alibi, 91 Kingsland High Street. A minimum £3 on-the-door donation is suggested.
